Anthony “A.J.” Jasmin, a lifelong resident of Vacherie, Louisiana, is dedicated to serving his community through leadership, faith, and volunteerism. A devoted husband to Joann Jasmin and father of six, Anthony graduated from St. James High School and attended the University of New Orleans. He retired after 42 years at Cooper Consolidated, where he served as a supervisor. As St. James Parish’s 5th District Councilman, Anthony works tirelessly to promote progress, safety, and opportunity for residents.
His commitment to service extends to volunteering with the St. James Fire Department and participating in the Koch Methanol Focus Group, contributing to vital local initiatives. Anthony is actively involved in organizations that reflect his values, serving as President of Baytree Hunting Club, a member of Magnolia Lodge #2, and a dedicated parishioner of St. James Catholic Church. Guided by faith and family, Anthony is passionate about improving St. James Parish. In his free time, he enjoys hunting and spending quality time with loved ones.
